2A.org is the first international gun rights organization devoted to the fundamental, innate, individual human right to own and carry weapons for personal and collective defense. We champion the 2nd Amendment and the universal human right to arms with leadership, grassroots activism and leveraging pooled resources.

2A.org is a new take on gun rights. We are a broad, fluid community – not a top-down ivory tower. We combine some traditional approaches to gun rights, such as membership, with revolutionary techniques like technology and civil disobedience.

Why hack at the branches when you can strike at the root? Our time is our most precious resource – we exist to help one another get the most results out of that time. Do you care about your children, their safety, and the safety of people all over the planet? Do you want to help and know you’ve gotten the absolute most out of your donated time and money? That’s why we exist.

Mission

Principles and observations

Free men and women have the inherent right to enjoy the responsible use of weapons to protect themselves and their collective communities from all types of threats, including and especially their own governments.

The 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution codifies and seeks to protect this pre-existing, universal right.

1. History has proven that dangerous, violent sociopaths actively seek to disarm and render defenseless regular people so that they may be predated upon.
2. Laws that punish justified self-defense and the carrying of arms encourage criminals and increase violent crime.
3. Laws that create “sensitive places” wherein self-defense is prohibited yet extreme security is not provided (so-called “Gun Free Zones”) entice and attract the worst violent criminals – not repel them.
4. Tyrannical men and women in power have always sought to arm their political allies and disarm their political enemies, leading to wide-scale victimization of people. Tyrants victimize many the same way a street criminal victimizes one.
5. Defenseless populations have been slaughtered time and time again in genocidal atrocities. These preventable, tragic, coordinated mass-murders account for the vast majority of deaths throughout history and the present time.
6. When every free man and woman may enjoy arms as is their right, the whole of society is significantly safer from groups and individuals who would otherwise do reprehensible crimes.
7. Even the most ideally-armed society will have some violent crime, but it will be drastically less than crime in non-ideally-armed societies.
8. Life is made up of freedom of choice and responsibility. Socialism seeks to steal freedom and offload responsibility. Socialism always fails miserably since it requires giving up the basic building blocks of life.
9. No one has a greater interest in one’s personal safety than oneself.
10. Rights are like muscles – they must be exercised.
11. Actions speak louder than words.
12. The best leadership is by example.
